This entry will be solely dedicated to Wei Lian.

Ok, after all the farewell parties for Wei Lian and blog entries about her leaving for Thailand soon, most of you are probably yelling in front of the computer, “WAKE ME UP WHEN SHE LEAVES ONLY LAH!!”

Just to remind everyone, she’s leaving TOMORROW.

When the news about Wei Lian migrating to Thailand in November came to me, it left me dumbstruck. First of all, of all places, poverty-stricken Thailand? What was most shocking to me wasn’t how destitute Thailand was… but actually the fact Wei Lian was the next one to leave the country.

Most of you might be wondering who’s Wei Lian to me anyway?

Well, I first met her on my first year in junior high. We’ve been classmates for three years and also close friends ever since the day we met. We’ve traveled to Latin America, Mexico, a year ago with 4 of our other classmates.

Year 2005

*note: I WAS THIRTEEN!!!*

Wei Lian, if you are reading this, thank you so much for taking the trouble to print the map of Subang Jaya for my Geography assignment! Thank you for pitying me when I did not complete my Math homework by allowing me to copy your’s although you knew I wouldn’t learn if I just copied your work blindly. Thank you for persisting and taking the time to teach me Math or any other subjects that I wasn’t sure of!!

Year 2006

Thank you for being such a great companion to be with in Mexico! And should you and your mom had never agreed to go to Mexico, my parents’ wouldn’t have allowed me to travel either. Thank you thank you! And thank you for being such a cooperative and obliging partner in completing our AGOAL projects. Without you, the AGOAL Malaysia group wouldn’t be firm in its solidarity.

Year 2007

Once again, thank you for teaching and assisting me in my studies, especially when we’re both gonna sit for our national examination, PMR this year. Aside from studies, thank you for being such a great friend to gossip with during our prefects’ duty time. Although there were times when we bicker, but we’ve been seeing eye to eye on most of the things that goes around us.

And I am extremely sorry to have hurt your feelings in the past if I ever did. I AM SORRYYY!!!!!! *in a cute tone like you always do. lol*

Just so you know,

The ‘best friends’ group will not be the same after your departure.

The sovereign six from Malaysia will shatter in despair.

And we, the 3 Gamma prefects, will see extra chairs around our table during recess after you leave.

Although all of us will eventually separate next year, but to know that it is not possible to hear your signature laugh ever again… sucks (unless we chat using a mike).

Most of you might lose a friend, best friend or whatever. But I will certainly lose more than an ordinary friend. She’s an asset in every single aspect and it’ll be tough to excel without her around next year.
Before I end this post…

BYE AUNTY SARAS
(her mom) and WEI LIAN!!!

Lolness.

Here’s a sequel to ‘the guy who can’t whistle‘ blog article I wrote few months back.

1. I am a picky eater. I can’t eat anything spicy and I hate veggies. I love wanton noodles! =D

2. I am not the text-hard type of guy. I hardly ever text-message. My credit can accumulate until 50 over dollars and I can still disincline to text.

3. I do not call either. I’d rather text than call.

4. I prefer a spontaneous relationship than a romantic one.

5. My favourite ice-cream is McFlurry M&Ms… despite having other “high class” ice-creams on market like Baskin-Robbins and Häagen-Dazs.

6. I am more of a tyrant. I am domineering and I am better of as a leader than a follower.

7. I hate my surname because it embarrassingly resembles a cow (the whole wide world knows that… I know!) and I have plans to change it the second I am eligible to do so. I love the name “Matthew” though and by the way, I prefer to be called “Matt”.

8. I wash my hair at least thrice a day using Pantene Pro-V ;P

9. I am molephobic. Definition; having extreme fear of moles on THE FACE. My face is currently mole-less f.y.i and hopefully it stays that way.

10. I am a virgin =D (I like to mention this.. cannot ah?!)

11. I find those people who thinks Kanye West’s Stronger is still all the rage these days should emerge from their “kuno” cocoon A.S.A.P.

12. I was Barney’s number 1 fan! HAHA.

13. I totally abhor people who tries to outsmart and outperform me when they know they are unequally standard than I am.

14. I favor girls with long straight hair ;P

15. I take criticisms very well… ONLY from people more superior than I am.

16. I am OVERLY self-conscious, branded-conscious and image-conscious... I nearly drowned in all my consciousness till I brought extra jeans during my class field trip this year just in case someone critics the jeans I was wearing. And… f.y.i, I RARELY wear the same pair of clothes on my body on any outings with my friends.

17. I had an eating disorder when I was fourteen in which during that period, I only ate a spoon full of rice and secretly threw the leftovers in the dustbin. And if you noticed, I look kinda scrawny in my 2007 class photo. In November 2006, I weigh 57kg… and today, I weigh in as a 65kg-FAT-ASS.
Omg.I.so.deserve.to.be.assassinated.

18. I almost had my first kiss at the age of 13 with one of my ex-girlfriend. It was during assembly when we clandestinely sneaked out from the assembly hall. We were already standing face-to-face and *RINGGGGGGGG…..* the effing school bell rang. Potong stim can!

19. You would not believe number nineteen. Once upon a soon-going-to-be-the-most-embarrassing-moment, I text-messaged my ex-girlfriend. In that message, I wrote “I love you, dear”. And to my dismay, I accidentally sent it to my ART TEACHER, who was also my class teacher that year. And the next day, I was sitting for my finals (if I am not mistaken). She was, by chance, the invigilator on that day and she walked passed my table and interrogated me, “Siapa kamu love nih?”

(Who’s that person whom you loved?)

OMG! EMBARRASSING LIKE SHIT!!!

Before I end this entry, I shall butt in my prediction on who’s gonna be eliminated next on The Amazing Race! (which has so far been 100% accurate)

Nicolas & Donald, Ronald & Christina, Marianna & Julia, Kynt & Vyxsin

I am supporting for the underdogs… hence, way to go Ron & Christina!

In tandem with The Amazing Race fever, my friends and I had our own version of The Amazing Race Teen Edition, we call it. =)

It was held last Tuesday in The Summit shopping center in Subang Jaya and it was our sixth season.

As always, I am the person liable to find people interested to join the Race. And you know what, I already had my freaking Amazing Race on the INTERNET the day before the Race began. It was certainly not an easy task to persuade people to join the Race. Who wants to embarrass themselves by running in a mall packed with people, you tell me!

At the end of the day, 9 people agreed to join the Race. (including myself)

And for your information readers, SUMMIT is irrefutably the most unfriendly and inhospitable venue to host The Amazing Race. The security guards are bunch of asses and donkeys and the information counter lady is super DUMB. The moment I take over Sir Samy Vellu as Minister of Public Works Department, the first thing I’ll do is bulldoze the Summit Shopping Center and build my 53,000 square feet mansion on that exact location. HMPH!

Anyways… here’s the leaderboard,

Having to go solo throughout the Race and still managed to clinch the top positions in the Race is pretty kick-ass right? HAHA.

In the last season (which was in Subang Parade), I went solo and I was the first to be eliminated. T.T

This time, strategy changed.

I’ll align myself with a team and stick with them like Velcro and once I found out that I am associating with the back-pack, I’ll wander off by myself and hopefully chance upon the front runners.

And everything came true on Leg 1 when my original alliance teams Hon Sang & Eng Khim and Aziemah & Alan didn’t know where “C.Y.C”, our next destination was. And so we went to the info counter and scanned the directory. I was fortunate enough to look at the correct side of the directory and found the precise location of “C.Y.C” before the other blind mice did. I left those suckers behind and ran to “C.Y.C” and met Sheng Ling & Jo Ann who was in the lead. I immediately made an ally with them until the Pit Stop, the cinema. I allowed the all-girl team to lead the way since I didn’t even know where the cinema was and outran them in the end.

That’s my story on how I got first place on Leg 1. HAHA.

After finishing in first and second on back-to-back legs, I got bolder and conceited and daringly separate myself from the other remaining teams on Leg 3. There was once when the clue directed me to the colossal-sized KFC bucket outside the shopping complex. All the 3 teams were clutched together and I insisted to follow them. And when I saw them running to another direction like freaks, I knew all of them had the next clue already. I ambled around outside the complex trying to find the effing KFC bucket. I gazed up and whoa-la, the stupid bucket was just above my head and I’ve been walking passed the envelope containing the next clue all along. And in the end, I arrived the pit stop last but was spared as Hon Sang & Eng Khim had a two minute penalty for checking in the pit stop in last place in the previous leg which was a non-elimination leg.

The finale was great. It was personally my favorite finale with the best Roadblock ever devised in the history of our The Amazing Race. The task was to find out the price of the goods sold in Point B according to a list given and add them up correctly in order to get the next clue. Thanks to Eng Khim, he constantly shouted “FINALLY!” right into my ear when I wasn’t actually staring at the correct merchandise.

To find out who won in the Final leg, visit The Amazing Race Teen Edition’s website; click here

Meanwhile, during the mandatory rest period…

I imprudently went into one of those kiddy cars. Thereee…. the teeny weeny cars which most of you cried for and begged your parents to get onto when you were younger. And then they insert a coin or two and the minuscule car wobbles on the spot. Then after a minute, it stops and the next thing you did was…. cry for more! =D

I do not know whether you comported yourself in that manner when you were small…. but I did!

And.. and… I would try to honk the horn. And after many unsuccessful attempts to create sounds out of it, I punched the steering wheel and… left.

AHAHAHA.

Sheng Ling, myself and Jo Ann at the bowling center.

*****

I had a sketch practice with some of the 9th grade prefects in school yesterday. The play was about this naive girl namely Isabelle who craved to attend the disco party hosted by the prince of the kingdom. And her sisters, Gretchen and Prude, ployed to ensure Isabelle goes to the party NAKED. It’s like the Cinderella story without the fairy godmother and glass shoes and all.
I managed to nab the prince role. Yay for me! But it’s only a minor role… all I have to do is be romantic and tell Isabelle that I like her naked.

Sounds like a porno! AHAHA.

No lah… Zhui Mun, who acts as Isabelle, will be pretending to go naked behind a white cloth, so the audience can only see the silhouette.

The senior students of high school were sitting for their national examination, SPM while we were practicing.

Anyways.. pictures!

The sign says;

“SILENCE
Examination is going on.”

I’ve always wanted to take a photo with that sign ever since the PMR examination started but didn’t have the chance to.

This is a candid one. I wanted to get my camera back from Joanna and before I did, she already snapped a picture of me.

Just a quick summary on how I feel about the teams in The Amazing Race 12. Most of them are gay f.y.i.

Kynt & Vyxsin

Apparently they’re dating goths. Believe me or not, that person on the left is a GUY and he’s in fact, straight, or so he claims. WHAT TYPE OF STRAIGHT GUY WEARS PINK WITH BLACK TIGER STRIPES ON IT. OMG! What a disgrace!

Next gay team,

Ari & Staella

The guy on the left is GAY. And thank the lord he and his teammate were the first ones to be eliminated.

Moving on…

Kate and Pat

They are lesbians! And WJ, that’s the team which I said has a woman who looked like a MAN! *points at the one in blue*

OMG… I’ve never seen a season infested with so many gay teams on my favorite reality TV show! The faster they get eliminated, the better!

Anyways, enough of gay/lesbian teams…

Ronald and Christina

I am routing for them, the father and daughter team. Don’t worry… both of them are straight.

And the team which I predict might win is…

Nathan and Jennifer

Although they almost got eliminated the last leg but I think they’ll do fine on the next one. They have the “winner” look.

My prediction on who’s going to be eliminated next?

Azaria & Handekia, Nicolas & Donald, Kate & Pat, Marianna & Julia

Either one will be eliminated.

Watch it! — I am posting one small part of it.

Sometimes, I do feel like the sole hardcore Amazing Race fan living on planet Earth.

*Hoho! Brenda’s mad at me. Sry k! To redeem myself, I shall post up something nice.*

Hello people! (better wish me hello back)

If you are mindful enough to remember, I did mention something about comparing Malacca and Mexico in my previous blog post. Ok, just to jog your memory, I went to Mexico a year ago to represent my country, Malaysia, in a leadership conference. However, I do not remember posting up an entry on the places I’ve been there. Now then, you’ll finally get to see a picture or two of magnificent Mexico.

Remember, I am going to do a comparison between Malacca and Mexico, not all Mexico! I shall begin with the churches/cathedrals.

Between churches

It’s red. It’s red. (did I mention it twice?)

*swoons* IT LOOKS LIKE AN ENORMOUS CASTLE OK!

I fucking envy the Mexicans.
____________________________________________________________________

Between sceneries

Beautiful.
EFFING beautiful!
____________________________________________________________________

Between statues

Fat large body mass.

A goddess standing majestically with her boobs hanging out from her dress.
Need I add anything to that?

____________________________________________________________________

Between stairways

Narrow.

Pause. Let me sigh for a sec.

Wide.
____________________________________________________________________

Between forts

Pimply. AHAHAHA.

Ok, fine. The Malacca’s one look better.

Before one of you unwisely open your big mouth and scream “MIGRATE OF MEXICO LAH! WE DON’T NEED A CITIZEN LIKE YOU!” right to my face, I’ll add another category which I will always consider about if I was given an opportunity to leave.

Between friendship

*try spotting me!*
Great people…

… but nothing to compared to the ones in this picture =)

I bet the Colegio Greenwich students will never EVER bother to chat with me on Messenger ever again. LOL.

Extra pictures

Is it my poor vision or there are pacifiers on the candy shelf?

At a local McDonald’s.

Her name is Alya. And I’m Matthew.

My bags. Heh.

For your information, this trip of mine has earned a spot in The Star newspaper.

My photos were unbelievably in THE STAR newspaper and my article about my amazing trip to Mexico was in it too!! It was featured on October 15th last year… till today I am still excited about it ok!

By the way Happy belated Deepavali to all Indians around the world. (I’m Chinese by the way)

You know what? I encountered a funny experience during the festival of light which was yesterday.

It was raining heavily and the thunder was raging loudly outside my house. I was alone in my room. I turned on the radio to Hitz.FM and Hitz was playing a song I believed was raggaeton. Just in case you don’t know, raggaeton is one of my favourite song genre and I always dance to the beat of the song.

And so… I danced on my bed.

Half way through the song, I went closer to the radio and realized that all along I was dancing to…

AN INDIAN MUSIC

Ahahahahaha.

No, I am not laughing because it was Indian… but by how witless was I yesterday!

It’s Russian.

Anyhow… I wanted to post about Florida but I don’t have all the pictures yet. I wanted to post a comparison of Malacca and Mexico but I was lazy.

This blog entry shall be random k?

I met this girl from facebook. She’s my ex-schoolmate from Primary school and we were school librarians. One fine day, I wrote on her profile’s message board introducing myself and in addition to that, I asked her whether she remembered who I am.

And the next day facebook informed me that that particular girl had replied my message. Expecting her to say “oh… I remembered who you are!”, I started to read what she had written and to my utter astonishment… she wrote;

.
.
.
.
.
“haha not quite. care to refresh my memory? (:”

OMG. Seriously, Brenda??!!! (yeah! that’s her name)

HMPH… that’s one of the most insulting thing I’ve ever heard in my 15 years of life! And she could end that abominable sentence with a smile… how could she?!

And one fine day, little Brenda (yeah I have the rights to call her little ‘cos she’s a year younger than me) added me on MSN Messenger and I keenly accepted her request hoping to refresh doddering memory.

And everyday I had to entertain that girl who probably had amnesia (I mean seriously, no one has ever forgotten my name.. EVER!!! She must’ve knocked her head.. REAL HARD) And I told her to visit my blog and view my pictures so that she could recognize me and surprisingly, she replied;

“I’ve seen it a few times before. Heh : D”

OMG.

That’s scary. Eh, HOW MANY OF YOU READ MY BLOG BUT NOT TELLING ME LA?!!

Ok…. this proves that there used to be (or still are) quite a number of anonymous readers flocking onto my humble blog filled with uncountable pictures of me… from bitting Kylie Minogue’s ass to eating burgers, chickens and yadda yadda.

Anyways, do you know why I am soooooo frustrated with most of the people who reads my blog (as in you guys)?! Y’all don’t FREAKING WISH ME A HELLO BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! As what I’ve told Eng Khim… it’s like as if you attend someone’s house warming party and you come empty handed… not even thanking the host or bidding him/her a goodbye.

HMPH!

Well, thanks for visiting. (See… I am so polite.)

By the way, thanks Ryan for the KoRn CD which was supposedly your lucky draw prize. KoRn isn’t a horrid band like what you and Sheng said, you know. I even listened to their songs every time before I sleep (not joking!). They are like My Chemical Romance’s but minus the emo lyrics. Because of you, I’ve a new favourite band (with inverted commas) added to the list… KoRn *laughs my ass off*

Bitch We Got A Problem – KoRn

It’s a SONG TITLE ok…. not kidding! HAHA. It’s personally my best KoRn music… the rest, awful.

P/S: Brenda, don’t be discontented k! (: Nah… give you one smiley back.

Hey y’all,

I am finally starting to write about the Malacca trip. I know many a few of you can’t wait for me to write/type/post/blog about this. You know what, I can’t wait to blog about this myself.

My reason for posting about the trip the last is because I was waiting for Sheng to post her rendition of the Malacca post ‘cos I predicted she would be adding almost all the pictures everyone sent to her into her blog (which I was right) So I wanted to make sure that I do not post the same stuffs that she posted.

Be prepared… for a SUPER long entry.

*****

My very very VERY kind and sporting class teacher, Pn. Sulo (well, I can’t say anything bad ’bout her here ‘cos her daughter *coughs* *coughs* might read this anytime…. you know who you are *tsk* *tsk*… but I wasn’t lying, she’s a great teacher), had planned for our class field trip to Malacca even since the first few months of school started!

I was really looking forward to the Malacca trip with my entire class because it would be our last day together as classmates after 3 years of studying under the same roof.

Just in case I made it sound like it’s a one-month long vacation together… no it’s not. It is just a ONE DAY outing… which I have to say… was already very satisfying.

My friends and I gathered in the school canteen at about 7:30AM.

*Presenting you… the first picture for this entry. Trust me, there are many more to go.*
Welcome to the ever-so-low-class school canteen, Subang Utama High’s CANTEEN!

And the bus arrived at 8:15AM.

Yongming, the guy who persevered sitting beside me throughout the 2.5 hour journey to Malacca. Thanks for enduring my jakun-ness and annoying attitude for, not only the 2.5 hour journey…. but three years as best friends.

*2.5 hours later….*

Selamat datang ke Malacca, saya Matthew, tour guide kamu pada hari ini.
*Welcome to Malacca, I’m Matthew, your tour guide for today*

First stop; Christ Church Malacca

Me standing before a 254 year old church. Cool eh?

Khim, Sheng and I with the trishaw man.

*Pn Tan Pek Ngoh yells*

Aiyoh… I wasn’t done posing around the church… the pack already left for the next location, The Stadthuys building, a few footsteps away from the Christ Church of Malacca.

Next stop; The Stadhuys building

Zarul, the statue and I. I was trying to imitate the statue f.y.i.. not doing some LALA POSE!

Big boys POSE; Nigel and I.

Crammed in a small kampung house.

A replica of the Netherlands’s yacht to Malacca in the 1700s.

Eh don’t play play with me k! I am lying on Laksamana (Admiral) Cheng Ho’s humongous foot!!

Prison break – the grill looked similar like the ones in jail so I figured it’ll be cool to pose with it.

*Presenting you… one of my MOST favorite picture taken on that day*

Gimme a hug… in the MUSEUM.

Matt (myself), Hasif and Yew Han.
Behind us is a replica of the Parliament building in Kuala Lumpur (I know how ironic right?!… we’re in Malacca but they display buildings we can see back in our own state)

1 million stories of teens in red. I can see millions of me. Cool eh the mirror?

Ok… whoever who were with me will always be close to get missing.. ‘cos ALL of them had to wait for me to pose with/at EVERY single thing I see. So…. lesson learned everyone; don’t follow me! =P

Next stop; A’ Famosa Fort

Yes, WALK UP! All the way UP!!

OMG, I look good… even though I was panting and out of breath! *thumbs up to myself*

Handless Saint Paul and Matt (myself).

*Presenting you… another MOST favorite picture taken on that day*

The Great Saint Paul looking down upon us. Looks great.

Um… I have no idea what’s this. I shall call it “Matthew-The-Greatest-letter-in god-knows-what-language”… until someone tells me what’s this thing called/for.

Teachers, friends and I (I’m the one doing some weird cicakman pose f.y.i)

Friends; Alya, Rosliana, Matt (myself), Heng Wai

Get out of the way. My entrance.

My class teeshirt camouflages the walls of the fort… well.. sorta.

My cannon.

Ok, the last time I went to Malacca (been to the exact location which my classmates and I went that day, that is) was 6 years ago, when I was still a 3rd grader!!

Ok before y’all comment about how I looked… allow me to start.

*clears throat* OH MY LORD, I look soooo damn fat like a fucking donkey. OMG, WHAT ON EARTH AM I WEARING?!!! An outfit specially for the bees?!!! and and…. what in god’s name is that hair style on my round fish-ball-like head???!!! That’s sooo…. ancient!

Ok now shut up.

Next stop; Dataran Pahlawan

The bus dropped us down at Dataran Pahlawan for lunch. We split into groups and went in separate ways. Yongming, Khim, Ryan and I ate at the nearby hawker stalls.

My fish ball noodles; Chinese cuisine

Blended ice with strawberries and assorted jelly.

Later, we walked to Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall which was just directly opposite the hawker stalls we had our lunch at.

Was horny.

I saw ‘Din having a similar picture to the one above on his MySpace… so I thought that poster of Kylie Minogue pasted on the wall of a CD shop looked cool for me to pose with =P

Candid shot; McDonald’s McFlurry

Next stop; Maritime Museum
Evan Almighty built it =D

That ark is the Maritime Museum. We didn’t go inside the ship though. But we did drop by the souvenir shop situated right in front of that ark.

Ok… Bryan, if you’re reading this, I am sure you know what I am gonna write next right? Haha… I’m not gonna blog about that incident which I am sure none of you bother to read (or probably had listened already) Relating to that occurrence, Malacca old folks are really really senile and blur (some of them at least).

Next stop; Candy store

Boys in the candy shop; Hasif and I

It’s no ordinary candy store f.y.i. The stuffs on the shelves were basically local delicacies. I bought a small tray of local confections, coconut candy and durian cakes which cost me 15 Ringgit altogether. My teacher gave my classmates and I a box of coconut pudding (it’s call a dodol if I am not mistaken).

Final moments together in the bus…

Bunch of happy, joyful and cheery people (spot me? I am somewhere behind.)

Before I end this entry, I wanna let the world know how much I love my classmates, each and everyone of them (except for a few annoying brats la). But still, I never spent 3 years of school with the exact same faces in the same class in my life before. I got closer to them as the years passed. So fun k studying with them and I am not kidding.

It was a blissful day. I can’t ask for any better.

Whoever who wants to steal the pictures are allowed to do so. Make sure you click on the pictures to enlarge before saving it in your computer! If you think you’ve taken more pictures via my camera, ask me through MSN.

Ok, this entry will be a super short one.

We had a party for Wei Lian at Sheng’s place in Sunway.

It was the MOST dull party I’ve ever been to.

The only thing I remembered doing was miserably sitting before Sheng’s laptop to transfer the Malacca pictures for her…. gambled and lost ALL my money…. and throw pillows at Ryan back and fourth.

SO BORING UNTIL CAN DIE ON THE SPOT k!

Probably I was tired ‘cos before I went for the party, I was strolling around SS19 to find for businessmen and businesswomen who are interested to advertise their company/shop in our school magazine, Gemala… in which Yongming and I failed to get any successful deals.

SO SELFISH OF THE BUSINESSMEN/WOMEN k!

Even I donated 50 cents to the guy who was collecting donations for the needy kids on the very same day!

PFFT!

Oohh… my friends are serious gamblers, I tell you. OMG, they can gamble like it’s Chinese New Year today.

Um… Yew Han bought a chocolate cake for Wei Lian and we shared.

Same old people. My closest of closest friends in my life =)

Not you! It’s for Wei Lian laaa….

Ahoy there, Sunway University College…. I am backkkkkk!!

Ryan invited me to join the Interclub Interact quiz organized by the Rotary Cub of Bandar Sunway which was held in Sunway College. Since it sounded like a cool and GRAND competition, so I agreed to go in with it.

Eh, I stumbled upon Maryanne, my ex-schoolmate over there and Rachel Priya, my junior.

My team consisting of YM, Matthew (me) & Khim
*OMG… I sooo look like a geek in this*

While waiting, might as well I pose right?

Ok… it’s a general knowledge quiz. The questions will be projected onto the screen and we, as a group of three, have to answer those questions on a blank piece of paper. Eight teams with the highest points out of 30 will advance to the Finals.

THE QUESTIONS WERE TOUGH…. VERY TOUGH

One of the questions has a flag and some description about it and we were supposed to find out which country is that. Other than that, they’ll also display pictures of people and we gotta figure out who that person is or what they’d invented. Otherwise, there are pictures of monuments/towers whatever.. and the question will ask for its name or where’s it situated.

Example:

-> Name this country which has gotten its independence in 2002?

HAHA… don’t know leh?!

I wrote Kuwait at first…. but changed it to Timor Leste (East Timor) in the end… which was correct.

Another example;

-> Which country is depicted in the map?

Ok, initially I wanted to answer Venezuela… but I replaced it with Chile right after I spot Santiago on the map! I was so confident that my answer was right ‘cos I clearly remembered The Amazing Race went to SANTIAGO, CHILE! But no, the correct answer was Panama. Sheesh, two Santiagos?

Another example;

-> The countries shaded in blue is represented by what organization?

In the beginning I thought it was the G7 alliance which I learned in Geography class. But The United States of America is supposed to be at one end of the map and Japan is at the other end…. so obviously it isn’t G7. Eng Khim guessed NATO but I insisted to write that down. WHAT ON EARTH IS NATO LAH… sounds like a biscuit brand!!! Remarkably he was correct.

Ultimately, we scored 9.5 correct out of 30 question which took us nowhere close to the Top 8. Not bad lah… for a group of people who DID NOT PREPARE AT ALL unlike the seniors. Another team from my school progressed to the next round and managed to clinch the runner-up title.

Whoo hoo… damn proud man.

Subang Utama High School

Mug shot; Certificate of participation

You people claiming that The Amazing Race is a boring show…. *boooooo* It helps in quizzes similar to this ok!! I should have memorized the places and FLAGS too!

Speaking of The Amazing Race…

Watch the LATEST season of The Amazing Race on AXN tonight!!!

I am not gonna post about my class’s trip to Malacca yet… I am not satisfied with the pictures. There are still many photographs not sent to me yet!!!

Sitting on some cannon in the museum.

WHOO HOOOO!!!! Gemala is out! It’s my school year-end mag f.y.i.

ATTENTION TO WHOEVER WHO HAS THE MAGAZINE;

Listen up!

Please turn to pages 20, 22, 23, 63 and 183

My face’s featured in the photos ok!

Ignore that German guy’s page la!! Look at the right… there are pictures of me in Mexico weh!!!

Dang! I was in charged of compiling and sending the Mexico pictures to the Gemala Photography Department…. and I kindly saved ALL the pictures into a CD and hand it up to some girl from the Gemala team. I SHOULD HAVE ONLY SAVED THE PICTURES WHICH HAS ME POSING IN IT!!

And you know what, THEY SHOULD ALSO ENLARGE THE PICTURES… it’s TOO tiny.

I am planning to join the Gemala editorial team. Probably I should enroll myself in the Graphics Department so that I CAN PURPOSELY ENLARGE PICTURES WHICH HAS MY FACE IN IT.

Muahahahaha.

Kidding la. I am not good in Adobe Photoshop (although I used to attend a multimedia course using Adobe Photoshop in school before)
