Bye.

To all loyal and faithful readers, you can stop visiting this page already. Thanks for dropping by all these while. I am going on hiatus.

Btw, I’ll still be checking out for messages on my message board and I’ll reply if there’s any.

Erm.. before that, tomorrow night is The Amazing Race Season 12’s finale on AXN. So… my final prediction.

Routing for Ron & Christina though.

HOW WAS I DURING ASSEMBLY TODAY?!

I was today’s assembly emcee, for your info.

Whatever you’re gonna comment – it was my first time being an emcee since 2005.

And I had a bad cough these past few days but I still managed to read the lines based on the script WITHOUT coughing. Never heard me cough on the mike right?

Would you believe that there was a student who hated his class so badly and decided to change to a different class which he really did. And fifteen minutes later, he left… TO THE CLASS WHERE HE CAME FROM.

ME.

AHAHAHAHAAH.

I was a part of 4 Sigma for fifteen minutes… and then I u-turned back to my old class. Tee hee… I guess I am the only person this year who did so.

AND SHENG ALMOST WANTED TO KILL ME TODAY.

Like literally KILL ME.

On Saturday, after ping-pong, I bumped into Pn. Sulo, the class teacher of 4 Sigma who had earlier promised to help Adrienne, Sheng, Marissa and I to get us into her class. As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, I had a strong alliance with Ryan and Sheng to stick together in the same class.

Then Pn. Sulo suddenly asked, “SO.. STILL WANT TO CHANGE CLASS?”

I was still vague with my decision.

I had my letter ready in my pocket and it took me quite a while to decide what to do with it. At first I didn’t want to give ‘cos Ryan who was from 4 Beta will be coming to our class after his entire class gets terminated on Monday (today). That means the idea of the three of us being in the same class will, after 7 long days will FINALLY come true.

But I thought about what Ryan told me the other day. He said he might be coming. He clearly stressed on the word ‘MIGHT‘.

So I said to myself, WHAT IF HE DOESN’T?!

And what if Ryan and Yongming do not make it into 4 Zeta and land in 4 [whatever-the-class-name-is] instead and Sheng decided to follow them and found someone to switch with (which she always does). During the last Physical Exercise lesson, I swore to myself that I will never ever be in this class if neither Ryan nor Yongming succeed to enter 4 Zeta.

SO… SO… SO… later on I HANDED IN MY LETTER hoping that I will, at least, be listed as priority standby to 4 Sigma if one of them hits Sigma. I didn’t want to let Sheng or Ryan or anyone know about my last-ditch decision ‘cos firstly, I didn’t want them to scream at me on the phone and secondly, I never in a million years would have thought my entreaty would be accepted.

Today after assembly, the teacher reannounced the new classes of the students who appealed for a class exchange. And as expected, despite my letter, I still stood in the 4 Zeta line.

But.. but.. but.. OH MY GOD!!

RYAN’S NAME WASN’T CALLED OUT UNDER 4 ZETA!

but instead… 4 SIGMA!!!

I was disheartened lar.

And as I returned back to class, I saw many new faces. My seat was taken by somebody else so I had to sit behind the class ALONE. I felt damn lonely lar, like how Yongming is feeling right now in 4 Gamma. At that very moment, I really hated my class. And I was grumbling to Reuben P. how much I hated almost all the teachers in our class and how much I feel like leaving the class and join Joanna, Alya, Ryan and Nadzlin in 4 Sigma or at least bring me to Alan and Eng Khim who are in 4 Delta.

All of a sudden, Pn. Sulo stood right at my class’s doorstep and called out for Marrisa’s and my name. I walked towards her and she told me, “YOUR APPEAL LETTERS MIGHT BE ACCEPTED”

Then I walked back into my classroom, cheery, as I may finally have Ryan along with my sovereign gang as my classmates. The reason why I always wanted Ryan to be the same class as I am because I remembered him telling me during my prefects duty that by hook or by crook, he’ll try to get into my class and should he fail, I’ll be appealing to his class.

WHOAH! Thank god there isn’t a knife or a blade around in the classroom ‘cos Sheng would be stabbing me right into my eyeball with it! She scolded me like shit lor. No, I did not intend to just leave her there and go off on my own. I would have surveyed what was the current situation before leaving, to be honest. After all, I can decline my appeal letter anytime I want to.

Little did I know, I needed to swap with Ryan in order to head to 4 Sigma… which totally oppose what I have planned and imagined and wanted it to be. My plan B was to have everyone gathered in 4 Sigma. Yar… including Sheng too ‘cos I always believe when the 4 Beta students finally disintegrate, they’ll definitely be someone who is willing to swap with her.

But Ryan was already sent to my class and somehow I agreed to barter my place with Ryan WHEN I WANTED HIM THERE! Kesian Sheng oso lar.. she wanted to cry. Heh. lol.

I went up to the Physics lab and knocked on the door and apparently it was Math. Their teacher daaamn slow lor. I placed my bag on the shelf and sat along the table with Khaled, Nadzlin, Alya and Zarul.

Throughout the whole period when I was in 4 Sigma, there was a part of me which wanted to remain in Zeta. Yar.. I am very fickle minded… I learnt it from somebody, THE GIRL WHO WANTED TO KILL ME. Lol. Well, at least I get to scare her for once! I need my turn right too? :P

And then during recess I told Nadzlin that I am half-hearted about being in Sigma and I wanted to be in a class which I’ll be happy. And she sagaciously told me to choose whichever class I felt most comfortable in.

The teachers in 4 Sigma are superbly good. I am sure if I remain in 4 Sigma I would have heaps of class trips!

I REALLY REALLY LOVE BOTH ALYA AND NADZLIN….

but I just feel like a deer in a village in Sigma (bagaikan rusa masuk kampung. lol)

Besides I have always always always dreamed about having Yongming, Ryan, Sheng and myself as classmates till we graduate high school. And now since I am so so so so damn close to accomplish that feat, I should get my ass back to 4 Zeta and join Sheng and Ryan over there and try to help Yongming to get in as well.

During recess, I miraculously found someone to swap my position with: Jo Ee.

I have this fright to ask the teacher responsible for this “class-exchange-thingy” whether or not I could change my class or not ‘cos I always imagined that they will just slam the door right at my face and say no right away. I went to Pn. Zaharah, one of the superiors of the school and told her about where I wanted to be placed in.

Pn. Z was surprisingly warm and hospitable which made it a lot easier for me to talk to her. Cut long story short, I managed to enter back to 4 Zeta. I took my bag out from 4 Sigma and happily walked back to the chemistry lab where my ex-class has always been.

The conclusion is that our dream has come true. The three of us live happily ever after and now I hope to drag Yongming into 4 Zeta as well.

And I feel so thankful to be able to switch TWICE IN A DAY! Switch back to where I was from summore.

To Sheng;

GOTCHA!

MUAHAHAHAHA-with-a-capital-R.

Sorry lar k for not telling ya! lol. Scare u oni! lolness.

Ever since school reopened, I have been tied up with my school work thus the lack of updates.

Even now I have a mountainous amount of Math homework given by my current Lim-Bee-Lan-like Modern Math teacher to be completed but here I am blogging instead. Truth is I am forced to. Ryan threatened me that he’ll place Sheng’s link before of mine in his blog if I do not update any sooner.

BOOO….

It’s about time for me to update anyways.

Updates on school!

I hate my Malay language and my Biology teacher.

Reason?

‘Cos neither of them speak decent English!

My Biology teacher have a tendency to explain the subject in Malay when Biology is supposed to be in English! There are approximately 20 words from the textbook which she pronounced incorrectly.

I know lah I, myself have mispronounced a couple of words before like the word ‘refuge’. I used to pronounce it as ‘reee-FUDGE‘ (with a D)

But but… SO?! I was just 15 plus!

My great biology teacher pronounced ’saliva’ as ’saaa-lee-vaar’.

*smacks forehead twice*

My Malay language teacher is even worst. HE DOESN’T EVEN SPEAK/UNDERSTAND A WORD OF ENGLISH! When I asked him a question in English, he asked the class to translate what I just said to him into Malay.

I FEEL LIKE A TOTAL FOREIGNER IN MY VERY OWN CLASSROOM!

So pfft can?!

(note: I know it is BM class and I am SUPPOSED to speak in Malay. But what the heck! My past BM teachers are all bilingual and I invariably consult them in ENGLISH. Even I speak English to the Indonesian lunch ladies in my school and they could understand!)

I hate my Physics teacher too.

She’s just… boring.

Hmm…

Marissa, Adrienne and Sheng are now my current table mates. Since the four of us came from the same class, I naturally grew closer to them as friends. Yeah, frankly speaking, I hardly spoke to Adrienne and Marissa when we were in 9th grade.

Ok, now that Sheng tells me almost everything in class, all her grandma stories which she wrote in her blog are rotten and outdated to me. Like for instance; the jewelery shop robbery incident which she had already told me from A to Z in school and even had the face as thick as the elephant’s to let me know that she took pictures of the shop.

Anddd…. every time the teacher’s absent, the both of us will sneak out of class and head all the way to Block Flora just to say hi to Ryan and Yongming.

But not everything about that lil bitch is all fun and loving.

Since day 1, Ryan, Sheng and I have made a “Pakatan Segi Tiga” alliance and we have agreed to stick together in the same class which is Zeta. Sheng almost went against the deal by handing in her letter appealing for a class exchange to Sigma.

I clearly remembered picking up the phone on a Wednesday afternoon to hear the gruff voice of Sheng when I was about to take my after-school nap. It appeared that she was on the threshold of handing in her letter. And I nearly shouted on the phone “DON’T YOU DARE! YOU’LL NEVER SEE TOMORROW IF YOU DO” but my mom was nearby so I asked her why coolly (yar.. that’s the reason why I sounded calm on the phone, Sheng. ‘Cos my mom was there!!!)

Apparently Adrienne and Marissa have all submitted their letters and she didn’t want to be the only girl from the gang cina pack left in the class. And it took me about 10 minutes to convince/persuade her to stay.

WASTED 15 MINUTES OF MY LIFE WHEN I COULD BE IN BED SLEEPING!!

Thanks for choosing not to leave me alone and THE 15 MINUTES OF SCARE.

By the way,

I AM JOINING THE YOUNG ENTERPRISE PROGRAM (YEP)

Woo hoo!

It’s a business and entrepreneurship program for youths to expose students to the business world by allowing them to work together to run and manage their own company, for those of you who do not know what YEP is about.

YEP sounds like a relatively beneficial program for me considering that Business is ranked third in my “future career list” behind Law and Politics.

After I officially submit my name to the teacher adviser of YEP tomorrow (yar… the teacher offered me a place in the group.. but I haven’t accepted the deal yet) the total number of clubs I am currently joining would be FOUR including History & Geography, Interact and Photography which is wayyy too many. Planning to drop one but I don’t know which.

Oh! oh! I fell really sick lately. Now I am blogging while trying to catch for a full breath of air into my lungs with a ghastly wheezing on top of it. I woke up earlier this morning coughing out thick slimy phlegm until can die, I tell you.

I went for table tennis yesterday and Sheng said I did not look sick. Pfft. She should just go die. The next time when she has another leg infection or whatever which makes one of her foot longer than another, I’ll make sure I’ll tell her that she looks completely fine and stop faking with the underarm crutches.

Eh, but shockingly, I could still scream in delight and superiority whenever I became king.

SO DAMN BIG UNTIL CAN DIE CAN?!

It’s radically huge in real life.

(Sorry no picture of me so I post up a picture of my fish instead ^^)

And… happy belated birthday Jo Yi, who turned 15 yesterday.
I said I wanted to post about my first day of school on the first day of school but.. haha ffk-ed.

The worst first day of school ever was year 2005’s. Gosh! I hated my very first day of high school… when I was in 7th grade. I wasn’t used to the new environment yet. I came from a private school with air-conditioned classrooms and just imagine how I felt without the air-conditioner! I was like a fish out of the water.

Anyways, I didn’t manage to sleep the night before school reopened ‘cos I was petrified and nervous about school and being in10th grade. I’ll be taking 11 (or maybe 12) subjects for my Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) examination in two years time.

AND I WANT TO BE A STRAIGHT A1 STUDENT!

For the first time in my life, I felt apathetic and unenthusiastic about going to school. It seemed like it was yesterday when I just finished my PMR examination and two hours ago when I received my results, which I am still VERY VERY happy about it and if you would have asked me to type another blog post about it, I’ll be very happy indeed to brag and brag and brag about it. The holidays zoomed passed so quickly can?!

3rd JANUARY 2008
(first day of school)

Woke up at 11:00AM on the 2nd of January 2008 (told you I never sleep what…!) I tried to waste as much time as possible and dilly dally in the shower so that I would arrive school late. Before I went for shower, I watched The Nanny on Hallmark. Y’all should watch. It’s damn funny lor.

Dad dropped me off in front of the school gate at 6:45AM and whoah! I see small fries. Fine, students a year younger than me. It’s weird to see them and not the other batch of senior students ‘cos I am used to be the baby of the school :’( Whichever class who took over the old 3 Gamma’s you there! you who placed your butt on those seats belonging to the class beside the bookshop…

GIVE ME BACK MY CLASSROOM!!!

I hope y’all know this lor… the person who faithfully switched on the lights and fans in that classroom used to be me ‘cos I usually arrive school in an ungodly hour of the morning 6.40AM.

As I walked further into the school, I saw YM sitting lonely on the bench (the one at the pathway near the canteen).

Then he accompanied me to put my bag at the corridor linking Block B and Block C. Later we took our attendance at the prefect’s attendance room and it was there when we met up with Eng Khim.

I was surprisingly hyper and perky on the first day of school despite not sleeping the night before. Probably one of the first people I saw in school was PEI LYN and… I said hi to her and all and during that period she might have transfered some of her perky molecules to me.

As usual I had to go for my prefect’s duty. I was placed at the grounds of Block B. Strangely, I realized I miss greeting the teachers. When the school bell rang, I had to chase and direct the congested crowd into the hall.

Ok. And as usual, the prefects had to stand at the perimeters of the hall so that no students could escape from assembly. Yongming was standing beside me and suddenly he asked..

“Notice anything different about me?”

Not having a clue, I simply answered, “You cut your hair? New pair of glasses?”

Then he replied,

“No, I SHAVED!”

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I tell you his moustache was like a jungle above his lips… and I am surprised I didn’t notice that.

Then Tajeev, my group’s AJK, handed me my just-arrived name tag/badge.

First complain of the year where is my T’s wife? WHERE?!

No one ever spelled my name wrongly.. EVER.

Except Pn. Noria. Last time she bloody spelled my name as;

M-A-T-T-H-I-E-W

It is perfect with 7 alphabets but no, she just had to add in the ‘I’ in my name… probably to make it fancier for her.

WHYY??!!!

Then after assembly, the fellow 10th graders, including me, had to remain at the hall for the “sorting ceremony” in which the teachers will announce to which class the students will be placed in.

My prefect colleagues and I stood in a line next to the students seated on the ground.

First they announced the names of the students under the Arts stream and Sub-Science stream.. which I didn’t care ‘cos all my close friends and I am in Pure Science.

The first Pure Science class heralded aloud was 4 Beta.

and second name called out was,

“C. YONGMING”

*gasp*

HE’S MY BEST FRIEND LOR….

Then few seconds later…

“RYAN L.”

*gasp*

HE’S ALSO MY BEST FRIEND LOR….

I was literally jumping in hyperness and pointing my finger at myself whilst screaming “PICK ME! PICK ME!” at the announcer.

But no, she bloody stopped at some girl’s name and told the 4 Beta-ians to leave to their classroom.

Later I also witness Alya, Nadzlin and Joanna walking out of the hall as the newly 4 Sigma-ians.

Then the announcer moved on to 4 Zeta and I was there to listen Marissa, Adrienne and Sheng’s name got called upon.

I had this “forecast” that I will not be in 4 Zeta. So I just stood rather impatiently beside Alan waiting for the next class and my name to be called out.

Out of the blue.. the announcer summoned,

“MATTHEW M.”

I yelped.

I walked towards the 4 Zeta line and immediately hugged Sheng Ling (note: It was at number 1071 on my not-to-do-ever-in-my-life list).

OMG. Today. Pn. Asmahan. Y’all prefects should know what happened OR WHAT SHE SAID.

I WAS EMBARRASSED LIKE SHIT. (edited: Jan 7)

Honestly, I never felt so glad/delighted/happy to see that bitch who sings as out of tune as I do standing in front of my face in my life. Sheng, to be frank, I was very very thankful to see you standing in that line. You were the closest living human being to me in that class and this means that I do not have to graduate high school in a class of absolute strangers.

So, yay!

Classmates for live?

I know I shouldn’t complain ‘cos 4 Zeta has the most amount of Gang Cina (note: We’re not are not ah longs from Malacca. If you hate the name, just deal with it). But still, how can school be picture-perfect and fun without the rest of my best buddies. And.. and… I need the sovereign six! Annie, Alya, Nadzlin and Hanisah… USE THE CLOUDS, TREES AND BRANCHES forever k? (inside joke)

Ok.. our class is in the Chemistry lab, few meters away from the canteen. Quite strategic.

There are 5 people sitting around my table. Jamie L. seated on my right, Bianca on my left, Yee Mae and CK at both ends of the table.

CK (whoah his name damn long to remember… so I didn’t remember) is damn geeky and apek-ly looking lor. He seemed like he hailed from the land filled with Mandarin-educated geeks whose pants are pulled up high above their waists and probably about 5 cm below their tits (I know lah.. not that I am so cool either but wtvr!) And apparently, he’s stranded alone in 4 Zeta and he wants to shift class as much as I do.

Jamie L. on the other hand is one of the most annoying person I’ve sat with in my life. First of all, he’s dumb. He skips classes. He has a short-term memory. He talks TOO much. And after missing 10 or 15 minutes of Additional Mathematics class, he expected me to teach him whatever he’d missed including how to write the index page.

And there was one moment when he saw my book and spotted a line of formula written in red. Then he asked,

“EH… EH… WHY YOU WRITE IN RED WAN?”

‘Cos I like lah! Go to hell lor.. I am not gonna babysit him for the next two years.

Anddd… I swear my class teacher is both racist and sexist as well as undemocratic. What’s her name again?

My class’s monitor/president is a girl with the name of Amelia and she got chosen right after someone shouted her name. And all my undemocratic class teacher said was,

“Amelia ya? Amelia ya?”

And immediately wrote her name on the whiteboard even before the class managed to say a word.

As for who holds the other posts like secretary, treasurer and class bureaus, my undemocratic class teacher randomly picked them based on the list of students. And what do you know… now my class’s organization is consisted of mostly Malay girls.

SEE THAT RACISM AND SEXISM IN HER?!!

Ohh… and she has a favoritism towards the people sitting in front.

BOOOOOO!!!

My classmates are all not that bad lah. Sheng said they’re too quiet. I disagree lor. It’s the first two days of school and you expect the class to be that noisy meh? Teachers are good. But I just dislike to be in 4 Zeta. I don’t feel the Zeta love.

Ok, just in case someone totally object my negativity towards my new class…. the reason why I am even in pure science stream studying biology, chemistry and physics when I do not have to (‘cos I wanna be a lawyer and end up in politics) is because I want to be with my friends. I am sure I will not succeed without them. Sorry, I need my usual pals as my classmates… at least bring me one or two more. Don’t come advising me that I can’t have them as classmates forever. Since we’re still in the same school, so why not?

AND I DO NOT WANT TO BE IN THE SAME CLASS WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS THE SAME NAME AS ME!

You’re right indeed, Matthew L. is a classmate of mine.

Among my group of friends, I was one of the first ones to propose the idea of switching to a different class.

Rule to switch class: Students who intend to do so must find a parter with the same gender and ethnicity from the opposing class who is willing to swap your position with him/her.

Fine lor.. Alan from 4 Gamma wanted to swap his place with Jamie L. but in the end, he changed his mind and decided to join Yew Han, Eng Khim and Hon Sang in 4 Delta instead.

First of all, I felt that he made a dumb move because Yongming and Ryan are planning to come over to 4 Zeta and we can all live happily ever after in 4 Zeta. Secondly, I felt insulted that he chose those three stoogers over Sheng and I. It’s his decision anyways… so I am gonna end this paragraph with a period.

I am stuck in 4 Zeta ‘cos there isn’t anyone who’s keen to come to my class.

4th JANUARY 2008
(second day of school)

The school had it’s Annual General Meeting whereby each societies and clubs will have their own convention/gathering.

First, I went for the Red Crescent meeting. I am the Commander so I had to stand in front of the class with the other board members who are all GIRLS. SO EMBARRASSING LOR…. Please lar… join Red Crescent (PBSM). I beg y’all. And don’t just come on the first two Saturdays and leave on the next.

I AM OVER THERE PEOPLE!!

So there is no need for you to be shy and whatsoever your excuse is.

After Red Crescent, I went for the Interact club meeting. But since I am technically and automatically in Interact club already (my friends are all board of directors in Interact) so I saved my entry form for another club.

Then I dragged YM to the Young Enterprise Program (Y.E.P) meeting and there was where I met Andy and he was a member of Y.E.P. Apparently transportation is very important if I want to join Y.E.P. to attend the production meetings and all. But but but…. HELLO!! I live in far far away Puchong for goodness sake!

So I scrapped off the idea and once again, pulled YM out of Y.E.P. and dragged him to the History & Geography club meeting (see… I was well planned eh?) The meeting was about to end soon but what the heck! There weren’t any 10th graders in it and the AJK Form 4 post was vacant. So both of us went it and taa daa… I got the AJK post. ^^

Right after that, I headed for the table tennis meeting. During the holidays, I already told CM to lure her friends into table tennis. To my utter amazement, she not only brought one or two of her friends to the table tennis meeting but A WHOLE SWARM OF THEM. Her people gathered at the back of the class and I had my little election rally going and asked them all to nominate and vote me for the presidency post.

But PFFT!

Apparently I was too young for the post and the table tennis teacher only opened it for the 11th graders.

Fine.

Anyhow, I was nominated for Vice President and as according to plan, my ping-pong ‘06 and PBSM gang all voted for me and I got the post.

Ok. I am satisfied.

Thank you, guys! Thank you! Thank you!! THANK YOUUUU!!

5th JANUARY 2008

I went for the Red Crescent activity and let me tell you what I saw.

I saw this pale anorexic small little girl (must be a freshman) with her lips and skin all peeling. I SWEAR SHE’S AS SMALL AS THUMBELINA!! And damn freaky lor.. she looks as if she was about to die.

Met Yongming and Joel’s sister, Yi Ching and Joey. Welcome to Red Crescent/PBSM =)

P.S.: Alya, Alan, Wei Lian, Eng Khim, Yongming, Nadzlin, Ryan, Hanisah and Annie. I MISS YOU ALL!!
